Spirits see each other in varying degrees of brightness. The light a spirit detects is the reflection of spirituality and pureness which exists in the heart and body of a spirit. A spirit from the tenth level of heaven, Zabdiel, explains how the level of light within each spirit determines their place in the hierarchy of the spirit realm: Read More.
Good, high spirits, descend into the Lower Zones and below to help poor souls trapped in an atmosphere of ignorance and malevolence. Often they stand passive, awaiting a call for help or an opportunity to assist. But, there are times when action is called for. Here is one such example. Read More.
If there is a God, why doesn’t God manifest a great demonstration of divine power and close, forever, any doubt of the existence of a Supreme Intelligence, a First Creator? How could people be allowed to blindly ignore their spirituality and pursue temporary material happiness, when the cost is lost time and misery in many lives? The rewards of heaven are so obvious, why prolong the suffering of those in ignorance? This was a lingering doubt of a high spirit from the tenth level of heaven. Read More.
We, in physical form, on earth, forget the multitude of souls who are trapped in a narrow band on or near the surface. These are spirits who wander the Lower Zone. They haven’t the spiritual fortitude to understand how to ascend to the first level of heaven, where they will be safe and supported. Instead, they are subjected to cruelties and injustices that stretch our imagination. Read More.
A minister, of an unspecified religion, passed away. He was assigned a house on the second sphere of heaven. The spirit realm sent a woman to him to discuss why he was unable to speak, what he knew was the truth, to people who needed help with communicating with loved ones who have passed. Instead of assisting those in need he guided them elsewhere, for he was afraid to be exposed to scorn and ridicule from his colleagues. Read More.
Who are we, what do we feel when we just pass over from the physical to the spiritual realm? The transition is difficult for many. We are told about the complexities of adjusting by the Reverend Owen’s mother, who communicated to him in his book, which is a collection of four of his books, Life Beyond the Veil, in The Lowlands of Heaven section. She tells us about one person who is experiencing the learning curve: Read More.
“When we come to earth, friend, we say one to another by the way that we are going into the land of mist and twilight, that we may, in the interior world which we find there, shed abroad somewhat of our light and warmth, For, indeed, that these be much needed we are able to sense, even in those far spheres from which we come. You may wonder by what process of chemistry or dynamics this is made possible to us; and, in detail. But we are able to give you a somewhat epitomized account of this affair, and so we will, if it would be of interest to you, and those who shall come to read what we give you.”
There is an interesting passage in the book, inspired by the spirit Andre Luiz, psychographed by Francisco (Chico) C. Xavier, Sex and Destiny. Andre Luiz is attempting to stop a young woman, Marita, from having a rendezvous with her boyfriend. In actuality, Marita’s adoptive father has already told her boyfriend not to come. Which was no problem, since the boyfriend had tired of her. Her adoptive father was planning to seduce her at the hotel room. Andre wanted to stop her from going so she wouldn’t be caught in a terrible situation.
Andre recounts how he tried to enlist help to block her from going to, what she thought was a lover’s tryst.
“I had to decide on a way to protect her; maybe contact an incarnate friend who was connected to the group. I had to block the consummation of the plan, or at least create a situation where help would arrive seemingly by chance; however .. I wandered from the place of the “rendezvous” to the office to the shop, from the shop to the bank, and from the bank to the apartment in Flamengo, all to no avail … No one extending spiritual antennae capable of helping me; no one praying; no one concerned about the matter … Everywhere, thoughts saturated with sex and money portraying scenes of pleasure and profits to the exclusion of everything else. I even approached one of Marita’s supervisors and, by projecting her image on his mental screen, tried to instill in him the idea of making the girl work until late. But he thought he was thinking for himself and distorted the matter to involve salary problems, ran numbers in his mind, filled it with paragraphs regarding labor laws, and summarily rejected my supposed influence, telling himself: “That girl already makes enough; I won’t give her one cent more.” [Sex and Destiny, 2013, pp. 160-160]
What seems like an unfortunate life lesson to us, could be a major tragedy to another. Which could set Marita off on the wrong path, causing enormous pain and suffering that would not assist her in her spiritual ascendancy.
I believe the more mundane examples of how spirits help us are actually the most revealing. After all, one could believe that a major historical figure like George Washington may have been protected by the spirit world, but the realization that this type in interference is an everyday occurrence illustrates the army of spirits which assist and protect us. To Andre Luiz the importance of one young impressionable woman was his highest concern, in his quest to help each soul make the best of their time on earth.
I write about how I was assisted and guided by the spirit world, in some major and some minor ways. Small things, that slightly altered my path to bring me where I am today in my book, 7 Tenets of Spiritism – How They Impact Your Daily Life. Find out how we plan our lives and are guided through our trials on earth.
In our culture, our mythology so to speak, when one thinks of the powerful Lords of Hell, a vision of a twisted devil emerges who personifies evil. Eternal evil. According to Spiritism, no spirit ignores the light forever, it may just seem so. Read More.
Spirit Kathleen told this to the Rev G. Vale Owen in the book Life Beyond the Veil, in The Ministry of Heaven section:
“When we come to earth, friend, we say one to another by the way that we are going into the land of mist and twilight, that we may, in the interior world which we find there, shed abroad somewhat of our light and warmth, For, indeed, that these be much needed we are able to sense, even in those far spheres from which we come.
