The Reverend Owen’s mother, who communicated to him in his book, which is a collection of four of his books, Life Beyond the Veil, in The Lowlands of Heaven section, talks about what color is the sky and other interesting tidbits. She tells us: Read More.
Everyone wants to know what Heaven is like. Spiritism was brought to us so you would know. The answers are in Allan Kardec’s The Spirits Book and in books psychographed by Francisco C. Xavier. This article will explain Heaven and its different levels and what spirits do there. Hint: It’s not eternal leisure.
Spirit Kathleen told this to the Rev G. Vale Owen in the book Life Beyond the Veil, in The Ministry of Heaven section:
“When we come to earth, friend, we say one to another by the way that we are going into the land of mist and twilight, that we may, in the interior world which we find there, shed abroad somewhat of our light and warmth, For, indeed, that these be much needed we are able to sense, even in those far spheres from which we come. You may wonder by what process of chemistry or dynamics this is made possible to us; and, in detail. But we are able to give you a somewhat epitomized account of this affair, and so we will, if it would be of interest to you, and those who shall come to read what we give you.” Read More.
Many of us are stubborn in our beliefs. I know I am, I have a tendency to hold on to a concept past the point where facts have refuted it. People like me have a predilection to have inordinate faith in their own decisions and may seem harsh, even when they try to approach situations with love.
I read a story in the book, Life Beyond the Veil, in The Lowlands of Heaven section. It was a communication to the Rev G. Vale Owen from his mother in the spirit world. His mother told him about a spirit, a man, who had recently passed over and was wandering in a lower level of heaven. Read More.

The good reverend communicates with his mother about life in the lower regions of heaven. Here is a different perspective of Heaven. One that reveals more about life in one of the celestial cities. Symbols are important. They have meaning … and the meaning is more important than the symbol itself. Kathleen, a spirit, tells us how a low spirit managed to lead a group of poor soils from the dark regions into the light – all by the use of a symbol. Read More.
On earth, when a Church or a Temple or any building is built, the process entails creation of a design, afterwards a construction company is selected and begins hiring workers and suppliers to provide the materials. Assembling the physical structure is accomplished by manual labor. In heaven building a temple is also a collective effort, but it is a combination of the force of wills by multiple spirits. “We may place in the first or highest rank those who have reached the degree of relative perfection which constitutes what may be called ‘pure spirits.’ We may place in the second rank those who have reached the middle of the ascensional ladder, those who have achieved the degree of purification in which aspiration after perfection has become the ruling desire. We may place in the third or lowest rank all those imperfect spirits who are still on the lower rungs of the ladder. They are characterized by ignorance, the love of evil, and all the low passions that retard their progress upwards.” Read More.
We are told in Spiritist literature, that a spirit enters a body almost at the same time a sperm fertilizes an egg. We tend to think that a still-born child, while a tragedy for the parents, as an attempt at life gone wrong. A failure for some biological reason, where the soul of the little one finds a new home at some future date. Read More.
There is a complete description of the second order of spirits in Allan Kardec’s, The Spirits Book, starting at question 107.
