The Point of View – Across Multiple Lives

There is a passage in The Gospel According to Spiritism, Chapter 2, page 62, which fully describes how we should feel now that we know we are immortal and will travel through life after life.

“The clear and precise idea that one holds of the future life provides an unshakable faith in the future. This faith carries enormous consequences for the moralization of human beings, because it completely changes the point of view from which they consider earthly life. For those who through their thought place themselves in the spirit life, which is limitless, corporeal life is no more than a passage, a brief stay in an ungrateful country. The vicissitudes and tribulations of life are no more than incidents which they bear with patience because they know that they are only of short duration, and that they must be followed by a happier state. Death no longer hasmother_nature__s_garden_by_jesus_at_art-d5givmh anything terrifying about it and it is no longer a door to nothingness, but rather the deliverance that opens to the exile the entryway to a dwelling place of happiness and peace. Knowing they are in a temporary , not final situation, they accept the worries of life with more indifference, which results in a composure of spirit that mitigates their afflictions.”

Allan Kardec says it so well; once we fully comprehend the reason we are on earth and the fact it is 7Tenets-small3Dbut one episode in our life, we should calmly accept what comes and learn from it, not excessively worry about our situation. Since all that we are going through now is but a slight moment of time.

To fully understand how we are guided through life by the spirit realm, read my book, 7 Tenets of Spiritism – How They Impact Your Daily Life. You shall discover that even in the midst of our most vigorous trials we are not alone.

The Problem is the Solution: 7 Life Complications Sent to Test and Teach You

Kindle-FrontCoverMy book, released on Amazon Kindle for $2.99 – It is also available in paperback.

I am going to turn your world upside down. There have been countless books and articles written on how to solve your problems. Most of them detail expedient methods to rid yourself of the worries that concern you or how to box up your anxieties and quickly move on.

Positive thinking is a big factor too. Always a good idea, but moving forward and not analyzing the cause may lead to a lesson not learned.

At the end, most of the programs center on to how to get back on your feet and make more money than you have ever dreamed of.

This book is different. Not that the others are bad or useless. Just that this book is different. It rests on an altered premise; life is a planned series of trials.
Trials or more precisely deliberate classes to teach you exactly what you need to learn. All set up beforehand by the Supreme Intelligence.

Contrary to what most of us have been taught, we aren’t here to merely be born into a random family, survive childhood, escape our teenage years without major injury and then it’s off to the world to be successful. We are on earth, just as we were in previous lives to modify ourselves. We are tasked to completely internalize the need to be a better, kinder, charitable and honest soul.

To achieve this worthy goal takes more than one, two, three, or a dozen lives. It is a long process and each successive life brings its own types of schooling. The worst parts of your life are where you absorb the most difficult lessons. It is these times, to take stock of who we are and what we are being guided to learn.

Shrugging off a trial you have escaped unhurt and not being cognizant of the consequences of your behavior, in this life or in the past, that caused a challenging time constitutes a failure. This lack of self-awareness is a bomb that lies dormant and will explode later in your present or next life.

I am not telling you to enjoy bad times. I am pleading with your to look at them like running a marathon or an Ironman triathlon. Where the pain can be excruciating, the competition tough, and the bruises are evident on your body. But, at the end you feel that you made it, you lived up to your expectations and you learned about the extent that you can push yourself.

The Spirituality has set our predestined lives to achieve exactly that. Before you were born, you signed up for the race and now, whether you like it or not, you have to complete it.

You are not allowed exit or take shortcuts. You don’t even want to know the penalties for departing early. So it’s time to get serious and throw our heart into the race. Be victorious and claim the prize that the spirit world says is a hundredfold more than any pain you experienced.

In this book your will learn to analyze why are you experiencing, or have been through, the following types of events:

1. Financial problems
2. Failed relationship(s) / marriage(s)
3. Family problems
4. Illnesses – physical and mental
5. Career setbacks
6. Addiction
7. Stress

And in doing so, you shall be able to make the first step in analyzing what you should have learnedProblem-Kindle-3dcover and how it will make you a better person. You are a spirit who will eventually return to the real world, the spirit world, ready to climb up the ladder to become a pure spirit.

Incarnation – Necessary for the Progression of the Spirit

guardianangel2In Allan Kardec’s book, Genesis, Chapter XI, section 24, on page 223, there is a discussion of “Spiritual Genesis”. Allan Kardec lays out the map required to ascend in the spirit hierarchy in an easy to understand prose.

First he touches on the subject of why we must be reincarnated:

“24. The incarnate spirit’s obligation to provide for the sustenance of its body, its safety and well-being constraints it to apply it faculties in the search to exercise and develop such facilities. Thus, its union with matter is useful for its evolution and that is why incarnation is a necessity. Furthermore, by mean of the intelligent labor that it performs upon matter to its own advantage, it concurs in the physical transformation and progress of the globe that it inhabits. Its laboring for its own progress is how it contributes to the Creator’s work as an unsuspecting agent.”

What Allan Kardec is telling us, that a primitive spirit, must first learn how to feed and fend for itself.cavemen By doing so, the young spirit is taking society forward, as groups gather together to form tribal units to better supply the small community food and protection. At the same time, a basic division of labor appears. As we take toddlers to play with other young friends to begin the process of socialization, so does the spirit world set immature spirits on the ground to learn the basic rules.

Next, Allan Kardec reviews the process for advancement:

Genesis“25.  The spirit’s incarnation, however, is neither constant nor perpetual: it is only transitory. Upon leaving one body behind, it does not take another immediately. During a shorter or longer length of time, it lives the spirit life, which is its normal life. Hence, the amount of time spent during its different incarnations is very small compared with the time its spends in the state of a free spirit.

During the interval between its incarnations, the spirit also progresses in the sense that it uses for its advancement the knowledge and experience it acquired during its corporeal life. It examines what it did during its earthy stay, reviews what it learned, recognizes its wrongs, draws up its plans and makes resolutions by which it hopes to be guided in a new existence as it tries to do better. It is in this way that each life is a step forward on the path of progress, a sort of a practical schooling.”

Now we are told that each life on a planet, in a physical body is meant to instruct us. That we, with ourclassroom-elementary spirit mentors figure out our lesson plan. Each life is a series of events designed to impart specific areas of improvement in which we recognize deficiencies which must be corrected.

We are on earth to be taught and to teach others who cross our path. Our horrible and depressing times we experience are nothing more than an entry on a lesson plan. Allan Kardec explains that life isn’t there to torture us, but to uplift us.

“26. Incarnation is therefore not normally a punishment for the spirit, as some might think, but a condition inherent to the unevolved state of the spirit and a means of progressing.

As the spirit progresses morally, it dematerializes; that is, by freeing itself from the influence of matter, it purifies itself. Its life become more spiritualized and its abilities and perceptions broaden; its happiness is a result of the progress it has accomplished, However, since it acts in virtue of its free will, it can, through negligence or ill will, delay its advancement. Consequently, it prolongs the duration of its material incarnations, which then become a punishment, since due to its own fault it remains in the lower ranks and must start the same task all over again. It thus depends on the spirit itself to shorten – through its own efforts at the self-purification – the extent of the period of incarnations. [p. 224]”

Just as we tell our children, our ultimate success or failure is entirely up to us. Our dedication and attitude in life directly affects our progress in the spirit realm. Only by our free will decisions in 7Tenets-Front-smallpredetermined episodes in our life can we accumulate the knowledge we desire to gain and demonstrate our newly found attributes.

Life is a series of classes, and we are shuttled from one room to another by the machinations of the spirit world. Discover for yourself how to live serenely with this knowledge and guidance that envelopes all of us, by reading my book, 7 Tenets of Spiritism – How They Impact Your Daily Life.

The spirit realm doesn’t allow for unresolved conflicts. Hence, if you wronged a particular person, you may be born into that persons family (or vice-versa) all for the hope that you shall learn to love and cherish that person, and forgive them for whatever past injustice they did to you (or you to them) in a past life.

It is Better to Look Forward than Backward

premonitions-on-death-and-dying-e1372699931412One of the recurring themes for people who have begun to fully understand the ramifications of Spiritism is to focus too heavily on their past wrongs. While it is certainly worthwhile to examine your past trials to discover areas of needed improvement, we must keep in mind that a blueprint has been laid out for us which covers paying for past debts and learning the lessons we so sorely require. A collective intelligence far greater than ours knows what we are capable of absorbing.

Our trials are structured so we shall always have the capacity to emerge victorious. Victory may appear in many forms which are foreign to us, but nevertheless still a good result. Let me supply one example. Before I became a Spiritist, I enjoyed playing the stock market. I was moderately successful. Then, with my confidence high I proceeded to make a bad decision and as is so usual in these cases I compounded my wrong-headed decision with more mistakes. I took a large loss, at least in relation to my humble situation. At the time I was completely despondent. I was angry and sullen about the disappearance of so much money that I had worked hard to build up.

Now I look back on it as a gift. I didn’t require the extra funds and it taught me the relative importance of money. It is nothing compared to faith, family and friends. I passed my trial, not with flying colors, since I whined and complained the whole time and was a picture of self-pity. If I had accepted the situation with grace and the knowledge that God can take away what God gives then I would have felt better about the entire episode.

This is the point about looking back. Don’t think about your deeds, they are what they were nothing more or less. This applies to wrongs in your current or past lives. Instead, think about your attitude and character during those times. Play out scenarios in your mind how you will deal calmly and serenely with any future challenge. Accept the situation and deal with it in an 7Tenets-Front-smallhonorable and caring manner. Never forgetting that others are much worse off than you and all those around you still require your love and assistance.
